At Fabricom Suez, we understand that good HSE management goes hand in hand with good business management and that safety is paramount to the continued success of the company. The Directors, Management and Supervision of Fabricom are fully committed to achieving the highest possible standards; we seek to drive Health, Safety and Environmental standards higher at every opportunity.

Safety consciousness and a positive attitude is incorporated into all of our activities, the aim being to eliminate all work related injuries and illness to our employees and to cause no harm to the environment.
This positive approach has improved our HSE performance and safety record to an enviable level, leading to over ten years consecutive RoSPA Gold Awards, Sector Awards and The President's Award.

This year we celebrate the prestigious RoSPA order of Distinction for fifteen consecutive years of safety performance at, or above levels set bt RoSPA. The prestigious award is only awarded to between twenty and thirty organistaions that reach this level of achievement each year.

Our HSE Targets for 2008 are:

·                     Zero lost Time Accidents or Environmental Incidents

·                     Achieve a Recordable Accident Frequency better than 1.5 x 20-5hrs

·                     Ensure no injuries to others affected by our work

·                     100% conformance to Health, Safety and Environmental auditing.

·                     Senior Management Team, minimum 1 MBWA per Month

·                     All Supervisors to carry out 1 Safety Audit per week

·                     Support the supervisors role in managing safety in the work place

·                     Score >85% on Fabricom MBWA (Management by Walking About)

·                     Ensure HSE is the first agenda item at all business unit meetings

·                     Ensure monthly senior management HSE forum meetings at all business units

·                     Managers and supervisors never personally deficient in PPE

·                     Increase near miss reporting by 10%.

·                     Ensure effective close out of all near miss/safety concern reports

·                     Encourage a positive attitude to best practice and recognise good performance through the SEAS

            process

·                     Commit everyone to a target of no personal injuries and no Environmental incidents

We implement effective HSE management systems, adopt best available practices and engage our people and business partners in driving continuous improvement, working together to improve sharing of safety information and good practice across the whole industry through the active involvement of employees, service companies, operators, trade unions, regulators and representative bodies.

Training and Development
Fabricom Suez is committed to providing training opportunities, facilities, support and advice to our employees that will enable them to develop their skills, knowledge and qualifications and so enhance their performance at work. Our aim is to develop staff potential, and improve employee prospects within the organisation; enabling us to meet both the future manpower and business needs of the company and subsequently of our clients.

Ongoing training is carried out to ensure that employees are fully compliant with legislation, company procedures and specific contract/client requirements. This investment in people ensures the provision of competent, experienced and qualified employees to meet the ever changing needs of our business and customers.
